The Promotions Schedule is officially out and the countdown to the 2026-27 season is on!

The full slate can be viewed here. While you dive in, let’s break down some of the highlights.

WE'RE SO BACK

Hockey returns to the Coliseum on Oct. 16 with Opening Night presented by Novant Health - featuring a magnet calendar giveaway while supplies last - followed by My First Checkers Game ($5 kids tickets) and Book Club Night (special ticket and mug package coming soon) the following night.

FIT CHECK

The Checkers will be donning specialty jerseys on six occasions this season. First on the docket is Charlotte Chess jerseys for What If? Night (Nov. 27), followed by special threads for Racing Night presented by the Kevin Harvick Foundation (Dec. 19), then the return of Pink In The Rink presented by Novant Health (Jan. 16), Florida Panthers-inspired sweaters for back-to-back nights on Affiliate Weekend presented by The Independence Fund (Feb. 5 & 6), Bojangles Night presented by Bojangles (March 6) and finally BBQ Night (April 3). All of those specialty jersey nights will feature an online auction of the game-worn/issued sweaters.

GEAR UP

Special packages will be unveiled as we move closer to the season, starting with a ticket and special edition Seeing Red shirt pack for the home opener on Oct. 16. Fans can mark their calendars for April 4 now, though, as there will be a Cooper Black Bobblehead giveaway courtesy of Novant Health while supplies last.

MAKING AN IMPACT

Along with the return of the beloved Pink In The Rink, the promo schedule features several themes aimed at honoring and giving back to the Charlotte community - from highlighting the battle against all types of cancer with Hockey Fights Cancer (Nov. 7) to donating truckloads of stuffed animals to local kids for the holidays at Teddy Bear Toss (Nov. 28) to celebrating All Abilities Night on Feb. 20.

FRESH IDEAS AND OLD RELIABLES

The bulk of the promo schedule consists of a strong mix of new concepts and returning favorites. Jumping onto the slate this season are the likes of K-Pop Night (Jan. 31) and Aviation Night (Jan. 17), as well as the first School Day Game in team history (Dec. 8 at 10:30 a.m.), while Oktoberfest (Oct. 23), Military Appreciation Night (Nov. 6) and Pooch Party (March 7) are all back in the fold.

WHAT A DEAL!

Along with all the theme nights, the Checkers are offering several opportunities for fans to catch a game on a budget. Family Games, College Nights and Teacher and School Employee Appreciation Nights all boast discounted tickets for qualifying purchasers, and Winning Wednesday once again gives fans the chance to enjoy $2 draught beer and a free ticket to the next Wednesday game if the Checkers win.

Individual tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. on Sep. 9. Set your alarms and we’ll see you at the Coliseum!
