Mitch Vande Sompel leads the roster as the longest-tenured Checker, marking his fourth straight season with the organization. Other returners include Brian Pinho, Colton Huard, Brett Chorske and Riley Hughes.
Newcomers Kasper Lundell, Philip Tresca and Luca Fantilli signed AHL contracts with the Checkers this summer.
While Vinnie Purpura signed a Checkers contract in January 2026, he primarily served as the starting goaltender for the ECHL's Savannah Ghost Pirates last season. He signed a one-year deal with Charlotte this past June and is attending his first Checkers camp.
Training camp will run until the team’s season opener in Hershey on October 3. The current training camp roster can be found here.
